Abstract:
The global push towards sustainable transportation has accelerated the development and adoption of electric vehicles (EVs), with battery technology playing a pivotal role in this transition. This paper provides an in-depth review of current battery technologies used in EVs, including lithium-ion batteries, solid-state batteries, and emerging alternatives. Key aspects such as energy density, charging speed, safety, cost, and environmental impact are discussed. Furthermore, the paper explores challenges in scaling production, raw material procurement, and recycling, as well as future directions in battery innovation, including advancements in chemistry, manufacturing techniques, and energy storage systems.
